Hello there, My name is Brittnie Ballard (she/her). I am currently in the MSW program at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor on the pathway of Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. I am native Detroit growing up on the east side but I have lived in Ohio & New York City. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Wayne State University and my Associates in Arts from Schoolcraft College & I am currently in ministry training. I know my educational background does not showcase social work experience. However, my strongest area is where my passion, my personality, my lived experience, my clinical strengths, & my boundaries all align. I have dedicated my life experiences and purposes to advocacy, equality, service, & social justice improvement. I strive to be the change I want to see in my community. What I admire about FedUp ministries is the call to action to eradicate food inequality as well reducing the homeless. This faith driven program committed to the development of the community while remaining and promoting inclusion is necessary. I know my experience as am MSW Intern at FedUp will strengthen my knowledge of community involvment, crisis managment & team building. Some of my interest include watching television/film, international travel, running my mouth, volleyball, basketball, baking, etc.
